Emerging from the Toronto climbing scene, Friction started producing shapes in the fall of ’99. Ergonomically shaped and finger-friendly. Friction holds come from the minds of brothers Matt and Luke Coles and owner Luigi Montilla. Inspired by a life time of growing up in art galleries and the prospects of free climbing holds they set to work by designing only the holds that they would love to climb on.
